GLOVED trial needs people to test their prototype glove

Update: all available places to test the glove have been filled by 13-10-2022, and unfortunately the option of participating via an online meeting had to be withdrawn. Thank you all for volunteering! Together we can make a difference to the treatment of Dupuytren in the future. Letter as received from the GLOVED team: GLOVED project: Review of a Combined Adjustable Splint and Digital Goniometer prototype by participants living with Dupuytren’s Contracture We would like to invite you to participate in this research project which forms part of the National Institute of Health Research (NIHR) funded GLOVED (Generation and evaLuation Of hand therapy deVices for Epidermolysis bullosa and Dupuytrens) project: Adjustable Splint Glove manufacturing and commercialisation (NIHR200656). The GLOVED project involves refining and evaluating a Combined Adjustable Splint and Digital Goniometer prototype with a Hand Therapy Online (HTO) system for people with Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) and Dupuytren’s Contracture. The initial prototypes and HTO system were developed for EB in the NIHR i4i funded GLOVE Project (II-LB-0813-20002). This invitation is to attend a face-to-face, or online workshop, at King’s College London to review a Combined Adjustable Splint and Digital Goniometer prototype. The purpose is to invite people living with Dupuytren’s Contracture to review a Combined Adjustable Splint and Digital Goniometer prototype. The prototype will be demonstrated to you by the hand therapists from Guy’s and St Thomas NHS Foundation Trust who are researchers on the funded project. Your feedback regarding suitability will provide the project with valuable information to refine the prototype before it is tested by people living with Dupuytren’s Contracture early 2023. The workshop is arranged for Thursday 27th October between 11.00-15.00. Refreshments will be provided. The address is: Room G13.
